Audi's Fully Electric Sportscar

Performance. Efficiency. Design. This is Audi Innovation

The Audi e-Tron GT

"Progress meets power"

Coming in at just under £81,000 and rising to prices of up to £133,000 in certain versions this electric vehicle has two models Audi RS e-TRON GT and the standard Audi e-TRON GT both visually stunning and neither being slow. Sharing a lot of its parts with Porsche’s first fully electric vehicle the Taycan you can trust that this vehicle has performance.

How is it to drive this electric vehicle?

The entry-level model gets 469 horsepower and does 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds. The RS model gains another 120-horsepower cutting the 0-60 to 2.9 seconds. Even with the car weighing in at just under two and a half tones this electric vehicle feels agile and light, thanks to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system that has been updated for the company’s all-electric future that help improves grip and traction.

It has a rear spoiler that extends electrically in two positions.

First, the (Eco) position will initiate at a speed of 90 km/h (55.9 mph), it will move into the second position (Performance) at 170 km/h (105.6 mph).

Holding a 93-kilowatt-hour battery, Audi claims the e-Tron will return a range of 283-298 miles depending on which model you opt for.

This electric vehicle has a 270kW charge power capability. On a rapid charger (200kW+) you can expect this electric vehicle to charge from 10%-80%, well over 200miles, in just 23 minutes.

Charging at home on a 7kW Home EV Charger will take up to 13.5 hours to achieve a full battery. Which is achievable on an overnight charging session. To discuss getting a home or business 7kw EV Charger visit our website EV Charger Installation main page.

How Practical is this electric vehicle for me?

This fully electric vehicle from Audi has two boots one located in the front, predominantly for fitting charging cables and possibly another bag if you wanted to. The second is in the back, which Audi says measures 405 litres, but is compromised by the saloon opening.

This will be an issue if you're trying to fit a large suitcase, so stick with 1-2 medium-size cases. Additionally, this boot gets smaller if you decide to go for the RS model of the car shrinking to 350 litres.

The Audi E-Tron rear

The rear seat also has its pros and cons. The passengers have access to convenient features like the heated seats and some vents for the rear seats. However, there are no USB ports. Drivers with kids know how important rear USB ports are, especially on long journeys.

The rear seats are not horribly tight, but taller passengers will feel a bit pushed for space. This ev model from Audi might not be the best family vehicle, but there is always the Audi e-Tron SUV option.

No matter which electric vehicle you choose, you will need an ev charger.
