In 1900 Charles Rolls made a statement that electric power is well suited to Rolls Royce vehicles. Now over a century and that statement is being realised with this Rolls-Royce luxury electric car Spectre, the first ever fully-electric production-ready Rolls-Royce.

The spectre is based on the same architecture as the Phantom and Ghost coupe. However, the architecture has been designed from the ground to accommodate electric vehicle components. Rolls Royce highlighted four key things when it comes to the design of this luxury electric car.

Firstly, new wheel fittings: Spectre features a bespoke aluminium space frame fitting 23” wheels for the first time. The feature is impressive from both a performance and aesthetic perspective. For drivers often finding themselves driving through snowy, icy surfaces equipping the vehicle with winter wheels won't be an issue.

Secondly, effortless opening doors: The doors of this luxury electric car are the biggest of any Rolls-Royce, at 1.5 metres in length. Easily open and close the doors with a touch of a button.

Thirdly, a new colour scheme: A colour never-seen-before Chartreuse. The vivid shade replicates the tones of French liqueur monks in the mountainous made in Grenoble, France. The colour boasts richness and depth.

Lastly, a two-tone finish: Spectre has a Two-Tone finish. Enhancing this luxury electric vehicle's strong design. The upper colour goes across the bonnet, following down along the fastback sweeping roofline — excluding the side pillars. Creating a bold stripe down the body. The audacious colour split further animates Spectre’s on-road presence.
