BMW i7

Everything you could ask for from a luxury vehicle

Combining luxury and entertainment the BMW i7 is more than just your average electric vehicle. In fact, it may be the most luxurious electric vehicle on the market.

An Electric Vehicle built for luxury

BMW has gone with a simpler design for this new 7th generation car. With subtle changes made to the overall design compared to the older generation cars.

The I7 may be simple in terms of exterior design but does not lack interior features. The I7 will come with BMW’s curved widescreen infotainment system with a built-in augmented reality satellite navigation system. A new minimalistic dashboard design with hidden air vents. Touch-sensitive buttons under crystalized effect panels on the dashboard and doors that let you adjust the heated seats and climate control in the vehicle. This Electric vehicle also comes with numerous posh materials. Carbon fibre, crystal glass controls, stainless steel speaker grilles, oak and ash wood trims, and cashmere seats.

An Electric Vehicle not short on entertainment

A theatre screen in the back seats! The BMW i7 has an optional 31-inch 8k theatre screen that folds down from the roof of the vehicle and reaches across the back seats. The display will come with Amazon Fire TV and a built-in 5G internet connection. As well as looking good it should sound good too as the i7 comes with a built-in Bowers & Wilkens stereo system. The display is controlled using the touch screen menus or the 6-inch built-in touchscreen in the rear doors. In addition to this high-end feature, there is an optional "Sky Lounge" panoramic glass sunroof. This sunroof allows light in during the day and at night you'll have an option of ambient mood lighting using dynamic light effects.

Battery, range, and performance of this electric vehicle

As of right now, there is one version of the i7. The i7 xDrive 60.

With a 102kWh battery that gives you up to 388 miles of range. Around 15 miles less in comparison to the Tesla Model s.

The i7’s dual-motor will produce 544hp combined meaning the car will do 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds

A quicker version of the BMW i7 is confirmed and it’ll have 660hp and 1,000Nm of torque. As a result, it will be BMWs most powerful road car yet. In fact, it will 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds.

Charging this electric vehicle

The BMW i7 is compatible with 195kW fast charging. Giving your around 106 miles of range in about 10 minutes.

According to BMW charging at home for a range of 62 miles (100km) will take 02:30h on a 7kW Home EV Charger Installation.

Furthermore, Charging on the road for a range of 62 miles (100km) will take around 21 minutes on a 50kw fast charger. However, if you can find a high-power charging station, charging at the vehicle’s maximum capacity will take around 7 minutes.
