In the world of EVs especially regarding Electric SUV market things are moving fast. In 2018 Jaguar released the I-Pace beating car giants like, Mercedes BMW, and Audi in bring a premium SUV to the market. However it has not taken long for their rivals to catch up with cars like the Audi E-Tron, BMW iX3 and Volvo XC40 and more to come. Jaguar has also announced plans to go electric only from 2025 . Once a pioneering electric SUV but now it's three years old now, so Jaguar has treated it to some updates.

Firstly, as far as the exterior design not much has changed from the 2018 model. The new models have a few new paint choices like 'Portofino blue'. You now get a chrome style finish to the grill with the optional chrome finishes on the window surrounds, rear diffusers and door mirrors in the 'bright pack'. You may be asking why is there so much focus on the grill if it's an EV. Well this grill does in fact serve a purpose reducing aerodynamics and cooling the battery.

At the rear of the car there is no windscreen wiper, Jaguar claims the aerodynamics of the car make is so there is no need for one. Apparently the airflow is powerful enough to clean it, of course the effeiency is depnding on how fast the car is going. There is also a hydrophobic coating on the glass to help aid the process.

Previously the Jaguar I-pace only had a single phase 7 kilowatt on board charger. Now the I-pace has a three phase 11 kilowatt on-board charger. This means if you have a 11 kilowatt wall box at home you can charge this electric SUV at 11 kilowatts getting 0-100% charge in around 9 hours. The option the fast charge is still available of course.
